Paintings Luminescence Show Works on Paper Curatorial Projects
Susan Ross is a Brooklyn-based artist whose abstract paintings evoke the natural world. She has exhibited her work in group and solo exhibitions and is the recipient of several awards, including artist grants from the Puffin Foundation and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. Susan is a member of The Painting Center in NYC. She received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a MFA from Pratt Institute and studied painting and art history at Lorenzo de Medici Art Institute in Florence, Italy.

Collaborating with Melissa Staiger in 2009, Susan co-curated and moderated an artist panel for Patterns of Growth at NurtureART Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. In 2010, Susan and Melissa co-curated Source, an exhibition featuring seven abstract painters, sponsored by Powerhouse Projects at the CUNY Center for Worker Education.
